Singapore Pt.1: A long weekend in a retail capital!

Welcome to Singapore! What a way to greet your visitors!

One word kept coming to mind as we strolled the streets of Singapore... impressive! We could not believe the shopping malls! They were giant , modern fortresses! The malls were all connected from one to the other to the other. The streets were immaculate and the people were so diverse! It was a beautiful modern metropolis. We took in the sights and tried some local foods.  We are so glad we made this brief trip to Singapore!

Is this really a shopping mall?
Another shopping center lit up at night.
The tire cafe.
Old architecture meets new.
The Elvis Bar for Nelson's brother.
Reflexology 101: This is a chart that is used for reflexology treatment. We had a reflexology session on our feet. Each part of the foot corresponds to a part of the body. If a certain part of the foot really really hurts, you should pay attention to that body part! We found it to be pretty accurate, and very very painful!!! This is not your average foot massage! We were squirming and making faces the entire time!
The famous Marina Bay Sands
Beautiful fountains
Beautiful modern buildings
This unique car, a Mitsuoka caught our eye.
Allie with the skyline
Nelson with the other skyline.
Us enjoying our day exploring.
Durty Nelly's: how appropriate that they are having Johnny Walker Black as Bottle of the month! Nelson's favorite!
Chinatown: A festival was taking place on the street.
Many people praying at the temple.
Nelson and his delicious crab off the street.
Woman headed to Mosque
Allie's first Singapore Sling. Delicious!
Nelson and the night lights.
Beautiful city skyline.

  2. Just a brief question, my fiancee visits the Elvis bar sometimes when in Singas and it seems to be a whorehose? How would a pretty blonde be treated by the patrons in such an establishment Nelson, is it a seedy as it looks? Thanks in advance for your reply. M.
