Thailand Pt. 1: Bangkok, the Grand Palace, grand food, and a grand view!

Welcome to Thailand! We are exploring quite a bit of this country and we started in the heart of it all, Bangkok! We had a nice 4 nights here and it is quite a unique place. A city where anything goes, the food is cheap, the weather is scorching hot, and everything you heard or have seen of the city is a reality! We met up with a friend of Allie's from graduate school, Ming, who is from Bangkok and she showed us a great time! We visited the grand palace, ordered some custom shirts, and took in the culture. Enjoy our brief tour through Bangkok. Next, we head south to the beautiful beaches!

The first thing Nelson wanted to do was get a custom made suit and some shirts! That's right where we headed. A very popular and very affordable purchase in Bangkok. Look for the custom shirts in his wardrobe when we return ;)

  1. What an amazing city Bangkok!!! How beautiful the temples are, the artisan/craftmanship is so detailed and intricate, the materials so and colorful and precious. The contrast of modern architecture and ancient temples is striking. Absolutely breathtaking!
Can't wait to see you both in Europe in 3 weeks! Much love~
